Lorinser a well known tuning firm has announced new details regarding their upcoming performance and styling packages for the recently introduced 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-class W212.
For the exterior, Lorinser aims to give the new luxury saloon a muscular appearance by replacing the traditional Mercedes grille with a more sporty interpretation similar to the one used on the C 63 AMG. Below the grille resides an aggressive new front bumper which features massive air intakes and horizontal LED daytime running lights. Elsewhere, the new model boasts eye-catching side sills, traditional Lorinser fenders with air inlets, Lorinser RS 9 light-alloy wheels, a roof spoiler, a new rear apron with a diffuser, and four exhaust pipes.
For the performance, a set special camshafts, an upgraded exhaust system and an adjusted control unit, the 5.5-liter V8 churns out a hefty 435HP, up from the factory version's 388HP, while maximum torque has been raised from 530Nm to 570Nm. Thanks to the removal of the electronic speed limiter, Lorinser's E500 can reach a top speed of 280km/h or 174MPH. Other modifications include a lowered sport suspension.
