MR Car Design released 370hp VW Scirocco

The German tuner MR Car Design has released a new modified version of the VW Scirocco called "Blakc Rocco". Wrapped in a matte black vinyl, the Black Rocco features a full bodykit from Rieger that consists of a front apron, side skirts and a rear apron with an integrated diffuser that houses the four tail pipes. The red pin stripes and 20-inch alloy wheels shod in 235/30 ZR20 S1 EVO high performance tires complete the exterior package.

The engine of the car which is 210HP 2.0-liter TFSI engine that has received a Stage 3 turbo kit, a new downpipe, reprogrammed ECU and a custom-made exhaust system for an overall output of 370-horsepower and 519Nm or 382 lb-ft of peak torque.

MR Car Designe also fitted the car with a new limited slip differential, a Stoptech high performance brake system and new coilovers from KW Automotive. The tuning firm has yet to announce pricing on its new Sciorcco-based model.

APP Europe Tunes Up the VW Scirocco 2.0 TSI to 261HP

APP Europe has released their all new VW Scirocco coupe. The German tuner has put together a Scirocco 2.0TSI using parts from Rieger Tuning, KW Automotive, Wimmer Rennsporttechnik, CFC and MR Car Design.

The Scirocco's 2.0-liter turbocharged engine benefits from an upgraded ECU that costs €2,500 or US$3,300, courtesy of Wimmer Rensporttechnik, that boosts output from 200HP to 261HP and peak torque from 280Nm(206 lbs-ft) to 380Nm (280 lbs-ft) allowing the coupe to reach a top speed of 263km/h or 164mph.

Besides that, the Scirocco gains a sport exhaust system from MR Car Design (€1,599 or US$2,100) while the same company also provided a new limited slip differential (35%) for €2,990 or US$3,950. These changes call for an update on the DSG's software that will cost you an another €890 or US$1,180.

Braking power is provided by APP's high performance brake system (€3,220 or US$4,260) with 4-pistons and two-part slotted discs sized 355x32 mm while KW Automotive is the company of choice for a set of coilovers (€1,529 or US$2,020).

The new bodykit that includes a front apron (€599 or US$792), side skirts (€328 or US$433) and a rear apron with an integrated diffuser (€329 or US$435) is from Rieger. The optic highlights such as the black roof and red pin stripes are from CFC (prices weren't announced).

Last but not least, APP Europe equips the Scirocco with a set of 19-inch, 3-piece bi-colour aluminium wheels (complete set for €5,200 or US$6,870) wrapped in Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta high performance tires.

Oettinger 350hp VW Scirocco Coupe

Oettinger, a European tuners has unveiled the new tuned Scirocco as the first examples of VW’s 3door coupe hit the streets. The car is fitted by a subtle bodykit that consists of aero flaps for the front splitter, sill extensions and a rear diffuser that incorporates a new set of exhaust tailpipes. A 20 inches rim is also fitted to the car. For the interior, the German tuning firm has spiced up the Scirocco with carbon-fiber trim accents, stainless steel kick plates, new floor mats and aluminium pedals.

The German firm is also working on a specially tuned adjustable suspension and larger brakes along with a new kit that will boost the 2.0 TSI’s performance to 350HP and 470Nm.
