It is also said that Honda will launch only one version of it's Civic this time for Asia, Europe and USA markets, unlike the different designs in previous years.

Interior comfort and space will be greatly improved, besides having a whole new look. Some predict that a new 3 cylinders engine may be added, plus a Hybrid based on the CR-Z concept.

Well, you won't have to wait too long, the car should be introduced sometime next year as their 2012 edition.

2009 USDM Civic Coupe & Si

Recently, Honda has updated their US market Civic Coupe for 2009. Offered with the same 140 HP 1.8-liter (Coupe) and 197 HP 2.0-liter (Si Coupe) as before, the ’09MY Civic Coupes benefit from the same aesthetic changes as the sedan models though you’ll probably have to be a dedicated Honda fan to trace the differences.

Honda Civic new facelifted for US market

The American market 8th generation Honda Civic which has different styling cues compared to our Asian market Honda Civic has been facelifted and revealed in these brochures scanned.

The facelifted USDM Civic has a larger, more prominent grille that has a trapezoidal shape. This is obviously to bring the Civic closer to the Jazz, Stream and Accord in terms of “family resemblance” as the other two cars also feature this more angular grille shape. The front bumper looks more muscular while the rear gains a new chrome stripe between the two rear lamps.
