Gemballa Tornado GTS 750 4-Seater Updates

A new set of photos featuring the Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS 4-seater has been released by the manufacturer. Gemballa engineers have made a few changes to the €400,000 SUV-come-sports car in an effort to keep the vehicle fresh.

At the front, we immediately noticed the new teardrop-shaped CGT headlights being used on the car, similar to those found on the Carrerra GT-based Gemballa Mirage GT. Slight modifications to the lower half of the front bumper appears to now include fog lights. In back, a new rear spoiler design includes three sections of lighting, as opposed to just one. One of the close-ups also shows the center-mounted camera in the grille, possibly part of the SUV's infotainment and night vision system.

Earlier in the year, we reported that engineers had stripped about 250 kilos (551 lbs) from the vehicle's weight. Combined with 750-horsepower turbo V8 engine that produces up to 1,050 Nm, this vehicle hits 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. A top speed of over 300 km/h (186.4mph) is also possible.

Naturally, this required bigger wheels, brakes, and air intakes, all of which can be found here. Gemballa uses a 415/380 mm braking system with six-piston calipers in the front, and four-piston calipers at the back. 12x22" forged GT Sport Wheels are also used on the now 70 mm lower vehicle. The package is rounded out with sport seats in the front and back, video screens all around, leather, Alcantara, and a set of carbon trim inserts.

Porsche Cayenne by Gemballa

Gemballa has released their new heavily modified Porsche Cayenne and Gemballa name it- Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS. The car will be an upgraded turbocharged V8 engine with 750HP and on top of that, a weight reduction of 250kg or 551 pounds over the standard Cayenne Turbo upon which it is based.

The extensive engine mods include the increase of the V8's displacement from 4.8- to 5.0-liters and the fitment of fortified forged pistons, special connecting rods, racing turbochargers along with a new air intercooler plus a remapping of the ECU. The result is an impressive output of 750HP at 6,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 1,050Nm or 774-lbs/ft at 3200 rpm. The Tornado 750 GTS accelerates from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 300 km/h or 187mph.

To put all that power on the road in a politically correct manner, Gemballa's engineers outfitted the Cayenne with a sports suspension that includes an adjustable coilover kit that allows the lowering of the car by up to 70mm. The Tornado 750 GTS rides on a set of extra light 22-inch alloy wheels shod in 335/25 Z22 high performance tires while stopping power is provided by a new braking system with 6-piston brake callipers and 420mm discs at the front axle and 4-piston brake callipers with 380mm discs at the rear axle.

For the exterior, Gemballa's team turned the Cayenne into a vehicle that could easily have had a role in the movie Death Race. Aerodynamic accessories aside, one of the highlights is the bonnet which has been 'fused' with the front wings and now opens as a whole.

Back into the cockpit, Gemballa opted for a four-seat layout while the cabin has been upgraded with new materials and a redesigned center console hosting the lifted gearbox and the Data Control System.

The German tuning house said that the Tornado 750 GTS will be built in a limited number of 50 units with prices set at €400,000 or about $520,000 US.
