The New Audi RS6 Sedan

Audi has unveiled the almighty RS6 Sedan. The RS6 Sedan is like the new RS6 Avant that was unveiled at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the RS6 Sedan packs a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V10 engine that delivers an output of 580 HP between 6,250 and 6,700 rpm and a peak torque of 650 Nm (479.42 lb-ft) available from 1,500 to 6,250 rpm.

For the power-train, it is a rear-weighted quattro all-wheel-drive system through a six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission that allows drivers to change gears manually either using the shift lever or the paddles on the steering wheel. This RS6 Sedan is capable to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 4.5 secs (Avant: 4.6 secs) and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h or 155mph, which can be optionally raised to 280 km/h or 174mph. -Continued

Besides that, the car also gets a reworked suspension and standard Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) that reduces pitch and roll using purely mechanical means. When combined with the sports suspension plus, DRC offers a choice of three selectable damper settings – sport, dynamic and comfort – which can be activated through the MMI. Braking power is provided by 390 millimeter brake disks up front and 365 millimeters brake disks at the rear.

Along with bulging wheel arches that house 19-inch alloy wheels as standard (20-inch alloys as an option) shod with 255/40 tires, the RS6 gets a more heavily profiled bumper with a revised grille, deep side skirts, a rear diffuser incorporating two large oval exhaust pipes and a spoiler integrated into the trunk lid.

Step inside and the first thing you’ll notice if you checked the correct box on the options list are the awesome driver and front passenger bucket seats seen in the pictures below. Otherwise you’ll have to be content with a set of deeply sculptured sport seats upholstered in Silk Nappa leather, with leather/Alcantara and Valcona leather available as option.
